The Endowment Fund |
Consider our charity as an oak tree, Its branches giving to our community in many directions, Its roots providing growth from many contributors. Dennis Eckel |

An Exciting Concept In 1991, the Rotary Club of Clearwater established an Endowment Fund to help the club support local charities. This is a 501(c)(3) IRS recognized charity in a corporation called The Rotary Club of Clearwater Charities, Inc., or "Charities, Inc." The purpose of the Endowment Fund is to create a principal sum that will remain intact and be encouraged to grow through contributions and capital gains. Each July the net income and dividends are used by our club in support of local qualified community charities. Our Endowment Fund helps to provide this Rotary club with a solid base of financial assistance. This aids the club to remain a leader in service to our community. All members of the Rotary Club are voting members of Charities, Inc. and they elect the seven Directors/Trustees that monitor Charities, Inc. and the Endowment Fund. Levels of Participation in the Endowment Fund Donor - Contributes any amount up to $500. Provider - Any amount from $500 To $1,000. Sustainer - Any amount from $1,000 or more. Endowment Society - Contributes $1000, plus $100 a year. Life Member - Contributes $10,000 or more. Honorary Life - Recognizes any Rotarian who secures $10,000 gift from outside of Rotary. Recognition of Contributors to the Endowment Fund
